The packaging is the standard Tarte Amazonia Clay Blush packaging. A circular plastic case with the color indicating the actual color of the blush. Not too protective but it's easy to open and it's not too bulky. You can actually push out the metal pan through a hole on the bottom. Nice touch. :)

The shade is pinkened red with microshimmers. Once it's on the cheeks it's pretty much semi-matte. It wears well for 6-7 hours on my oily skin and then begins to fade. Not the hours they claim but not bad.

 Again, the color can look a bit intimidating in the pan but when applied sheerly, it looks pretty natural. I like to use a stippling brush, and even then I use a very light hand. It blends pretty well although I need to blend a bit more than other blushes because of the color. If you feel like you applied too much, you can always knock some off with a dense powder brush. It's not a difficult color to use at all.

I feel like this is one of the most natural looking blushes as my cheeks don't flush pink, coral, or peach. Lol. I highly recommend having a blush close to red in your collection, and this is a good one. :) I would stippling brush is a must with this one though!
